I always knew I wanted to make music one day, but definitely not at 14. In my head, it would happen later, maybe around twenty, when I’d have more experience. But I needed to claim the name Vyhn, and you can’t just “reserve” an artist name. The only way was to publish something. In ten minutes, I threw together white noise with no ambition, just to secure this project. The title was obvious: Origin, because it was the origin piece. Not made to be listened to, but to exist. Since then, it has remained online only on Spotify, Apple Music, and a few basic platforms. Never on YouTube or SoundCloud. It survives as a raw easter egg, the proof that Vyhn began long before I thought I would truly start.
At first, Vyhn only existed to secure a name with Origin. But having a profile tied to a track made in ten minutes felt weak. So I took an old composition I had written back when I was creating a Minecraft mod, finished it, mixed it as best I could, and VOID was born. The title came naturally: when I listen, I feel like I’m pulled somewhere else, emptied of thought, floating in the void. Unlike Origin, VOID wasn’t just a placeholder, it was the moment Vyhn truly began to sound like an artist.
After releasing VOID, I kept looking at my profile, listening to my tracks, and it became clear: I didn’t want to wait anymore. I wanted to become Vyhn now. Candles represents that moment, like a candle being lit fragile but real, a flame that marks the beginning. The title refers to the calm light of candles, to birth and quiet strength. With Candles, I didn’t want to be just anyone; I wanted to be Vyhn, fully, because it has always been in my blood.
Blue was born from a simple idea: exploring every shade of an emotion through sound. I built the track around a vocal line I found on Splice: “only you, make me see every side of blue in the sky.” It’s not a complicated production, but it’s an honest track that feels true to me. For me, Blue represents an opening, a first step toward reaching more people while staying genuine.
